REFLECTION
Experience
This task was fun yet challenging. At first, I struggled to connect my initial idea and moodboard, but later came up with a new concept that worked better. Creating the background was time-consuming, but assembling the elements based on my wireframe was satisfying. Using Adobe Animate was difficult at first, but after self-learning, I could follow along more easily in class. Overall, this task improved my creative thinking and deepened my understanding of how interactivity and theme work together, especially through the Sonic project.
Observation
I observed that successful interactive websites often use engaging features like character customization, unlockable content, and real-time interaction to boost user engagement. Visual elements such as fonts and colour schemes also play a key role in expressing the theme and enhancing storytelling. Additionally, I realized that mastering tools like Adobe Animate requires time and deep understanding—not just brief exposure—which makes me a bit anxious but also motivated for the final project.
Findings
This project showed me how strong UI/UX design and interactivity can tell a story without much text. Using Sonic as a theme, we created an engaging site through visuals and interaction. I realized that passion for the topic and good time management really help. I now appreciate how much effort goes into making a good website.
