introduction

PROJECT 1 PROPOSAL

week1-week3

We need to study a cultural phenomenon or a specific subculture that is considered "sensitive" and to do so within a selected theme. Explain the culture without changing the actual facts of the culture.

WEEK1
I looked up a small amount of information about Minority cultures for ideas and reference.

WEEK2

In the second week, we split into many groups and our group had an offline meeting where everyone expressed their opinions and the information they had gathered about different cultures in the first week, and after much discussion, we settled on the topic of religious tattoo culture.

The initial theme proposed by our group was the culture of religious tattoos.

We have decided to introduce "Religious Tattoo Culture" in our proposal. Sub-topics that we would like to explore further are included in our proposal:

1. Introduction and History - MENG ZIHUI

2. Sensitivity of tattooing in different religions - ZHANG HANYUAN

3. Impact of tattoos on religious culture - YANG LINXI

4. The value of religious tattoos - DU HONGYI

5. Types of religious tattoos - LI JINGBU

WEEK6
After conducting an online survey in Week 5, the results were more in favor of making IP tattoo dolls. After getting the results, our team decided to make IP doll posters and make physical dolls.
We chose two religions for the final product - Hinduism and Christianity.
During the sixth week, after discussing with Dr. Charles and incorporating his suggestions, our group modified the final product. We decided to create tattoo stickers, e-books and IP doll posters. Dr. Charles suggested that we choose a person as a model for the tattoo stickers, take photos of him, and put them into the e-book along with the IP doll poster we designed.

I participated in tattoo sticker design and original IP image design.

Before designing the IP image, I referred to the character "Beware of Superman" in the cartoon "Happy Superman" that I often watched as a source of inspiration.

Among them, I designed two IP images of "angel" and "demon". In the end, I chose angel because I found that the image of "angel" often appears in Christian culture, and angels play many important roles in Christian teachings. role, they are considered to be the bridge between gods and humans, conveying the will of gods and playing an important role in human life.

I made a poster using the "Angel" IP I designed and the tattoos "Praying Hands" and "Rose Cross" I designed.

WEEK7
After completing the IP image poster, we started making tattoo stickers. We then found the material for the disposable tattoo stickers and printed it. Then a classmate from our group served as a model to physically display the tattoo stickers.

Feedback
week5:
We decided to choose Hindu and Christian tattoo designs after talking to Dr. Charles who told us that the tattoo should be designed in a way that the religious elements would be clearly visible to others.
week6:
After Dr. Charles viewed our IP image poster and tattoo sticker ideas, he suggested that after we finished making the tattoo stickers, select one of our members as a model and create an e-book to include the IP image poster and tattoo stickers.
