TASK
Week 1-Week 5
Mr.Sylvain substitute Dr.Wong for the first week and he briefed us with the overall assignment. Next we were to form group of 5-7 person with mix specialisation.

We were given 6 topic to chose from. My group decided to chose Patient Transfer Device.

This week is our first meeting with the client. He briefed us with the topic, situation, needs and problems of this area. After the meeting, we start on Figjam with the problem and our targedted user group. For the target group we decided to go with Nurse and Family Member. Then we decide the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Moving on, we start to brainstorm questions for interview.

This week, we conducted interview. 3 nurses and 3 family members. We managed to book slot to interview nurse in Assunta hospital. We went there on 15th October. Aside, we also do observation.
After conducting interview, we do analysis and findings. Then categorized the answers.

Week 6-Week 14
After the findings, we decide to define it into 7 categories such as Physical Effort & Workforce Deman, Design & Equipment Limitations, Usability, Independence, Safety & Stability Concerns, Comfort, and Emotional Wellbeing.
After classifying into 7 categories, we moved on to discover 'The What' Key Themes and with that we will have a consice 'The Why' or so called Insight Statement.
From all the informations gather, we are able to make the user persona for both nurse and family member target user.
From the findings and user persona, we could then define the user empathy map as below.
With all clear, we are ready to form the Problem Stement (POV) for each targeted group (Nurse & Family Member).
Not to forget, we also allign our project with the UNSDGs Goals mainly, SDG 3 (Good Health and Well Being), SDG 9 ( Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities)
Moving on, we define our How Might We as well as alligning it with the SDG chosen. Below are the posible how might we, then we narrow it down to 5. Then we decided the one higlighted in red are the one we want to focus more.
With all of the above in mind, we created a user journey map for the targeted groups of nurses and family members. We worked to define the steps in the journey, the user actions, the goals and experiences, the feelings and thoughts, the pain points and the opportunities. After that, we did some brainstorming and created a prioritisation matrix for features.
Ideation Phase
During class this week, Dr Wong gave us an activity called 'Crazy 8 Ideation'. We were given two minutes and some paper on which to write or draw eight ideas for our topic. Once everyone had completed the ideation process, we gathered our ideas in Figjam and discussed which ideas we were going to propose further. We decided to propose the height-adjustable sliding mat.
During the mid-term presentation, we proposed the sliding mat. While Professor Manohar said it was a good idea, he preferred our idea of a stretcher that could be detached from the wheelchair frame, allowing the elderly to lie on a bed. He suggested that we refine the idea further, for example by making it height-adjustable, as the height of wheelchairs and beds can differ. The armrests should be minimalist and adjustable so as not to obstruct transfers. He also suggested small wheels so that, when the stretcher is detached from the frame during transfer, it will not block the way.
We refined the idea after hearing feedback from the professor. Each of us provided a sketch based on the suggestions, and later we brainstormed and combined the designs and ideas.
Prototype Phase
After knowing what to proceed, we continue with prototyping. As Btari is in the Entertainment Design specialization, she will contribute in the 3D modeling.
The device's instructions and specifications are outlined below:
Testing Phase
While Btari worked on the 3D modelling, we defined the usability goals and concerns, identified the participants, and decided on the scenarios, tasks, and how to measure usability.
Since our product is not physical, but a 3D render, we decided to conduct concept testing by interviewing caregivers about our prototype. Below, we have created some interview questions for testing purposes. In addition, we named our product 'Mobibed' and created a logo for it.
Once the interview questions had been finalised, we began the interview. Before asking any questions, we showed the interviewee the prototype video and then asked for feedback on our prototype concept. After the interview, I translated it into English, as I conducted the interview in Indonesian. Then I proceeded to transcribe it. Below is our interview transcript.
After compiling the transcript, we start collecting important findings and compiling them in an affinity diagram. This helps us to categorise the respondents' answers, which we then summarise.
