Week 6
After our group presentation in class, Mr. Fauzi gave us some advice:
- piechart: the other objects can be smaller while the piechart can be made bigger.
- think and reevaluate about certain scenes bcs it may too long (with voiceover included).
- final editing: animate part by part. render so that we will have mov and mp4 (AE). move on to premiere pro: then can just slot in the renders based on timing.
- storytelling: eg. scene 1: highlight certain words like Mooncakes and Tang Dynasty in the animation.
Reflection:
Experience
Through FLIP presentations, we studied multiple dimensions of information design and data visualization, which may involve different methods, techniques or application areas. In the preparation process, we need to find materials, analyze data, and work closely with team members, which deepens our understanding of how to present information. Discuss how to better present information. This not only allows us to master knowledge, but also improves our ability to construct and express information. These presentations not only teach us how to organize and express information efficiently, but also enhance our ability and confidence to clearly convey key information in class.
Findings
During these presentations, we learned in depth the key principles of information design and visualization and gained many valuable insights. LATCH theory provides a systematic way to organize information by position, alphabet, time, category, and hierarchy to make it clearer and easier to understand. It helps people remember the content more easily.
