PROGRAM NAME:Bachelor of Design (Honours) in Creative Media
Task 2 Experience Design Project Proposal
TASK
To-do list
Mr. RAZIF gave proposal guidelines and references in MYTIMES
Propose an experience design project from a theme/topic of their choice. It can be anything from screen experience to physical space experience.
Create a professional experience design proposal document explaining their project idea and how the user experience will be.
The proposal should include an analysis of the current experience, a comparison with similar solutions and how it can be improved, a sketch to visualize the experience, and a design that simulates the final result from the user's perspective.
Conceptualisation Process
Continuing from Task 1, I came up with 3 AR ideas to create and develop.
[ Creative One: AR Procedures for Beauty and Wellness]
Conception
Many people don’t understand this, and some people may even be resistant to it. I want to use AR entities to showcase the functions of different facial masks and what substances they contain.
Problem Statement
As the population of Asian and Southeast Asian countries ages, there will be an increasing demand for beauty and wellness treatments. The elderly population is not only concerned about living a long and healthy life, but also wants to maintain a good appearance through beauty treatments. However, traditional beauty and wellness programmes lack personalisation, and many people are not aware of the specific needs of skincare and health. In addition, complex beauty care routines can be confusing for older people and are not easy to adhere to in the long term.
Target Audience
General Public/Elderly users (focusing on beauty and health)
[ Creative Two: AR Pokemon Card Game]
Conception
I want to make an AR Pokémon card battle because it allows players to experience a more immersive battle scene and increase the interactivity and immersion of the game. In addition, it can also combine classic Pokémon gameplay with modern technology to bring a brand new gaming experience.
Problem statement
Traditional tabletop and combat games are often limited by physical elements and static design, making it difficult to provide immersive and interactive experiences for players. At the same time, modern gamers are looking for games that are more dynamic, strategically deep, and that can be made more immersive with emerging technologies such as AR. Complex combat systems in tabletop games often rely on extensive rules and manuals, compromising fluidity and player experience.
I want to make this AR software to help customers find the products they need in the supermarket more easily, save shopping time and improve the shopping experience. Through clear product navigation, customers can complete their shopping more efficiently, especially in large supermarkets, avoiding the inconvenience caused by finding products.
Problem statement
In traditional supermarket shopping, customers often face the following problems: unclear location of products, excessive time consumption and inability to find what they need quickly. These problems lead to inconvenience and a degradation of the shopping experience. Especially in large supermarkets, customers may need to spend a lot of time looking for specific products, which affects shopping efficiency.
Target Audience
General Public
Finalised idea
[ Creative Two: AR Pokemon Card Game]
Finally, I decided to go with the idea of AR Pokémon cards. I thought it would appeal to the public because it would provide users with a more interactive and immersive experience, making players feel like they are in a real Pokémon battle. Based on the documents and guidelines provided by Mr. Razif, I started to research the details of developing this idea.
I started to think of an app name for this idea. Finally, I decided to use PokeAR Battle, a concise name that combines "Pokemon" and "AR" to highlight the immersive experience of Pokémon battles. . Then I started to do project research on the product or service I offer to users, the target audience, and from the perspective of user personas.
Process :
1.Just scan the Pokémon card and a 3D Pokémon will appear.
2.It will show the health bar of that Pokémon.
3.It can also select attack skills.
There are 3 user characters, including Renna, Angeline and James. Each character has its own background information, goals, challenges and knowledge level.
